Pepper is from Jackson, Tennessee. She attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature. Included among her favorite authors are expatriates such as Nadeem Aslam and V.S. Naipaul whose multi-cultural backgrounds shaped their work and instilled within them a depth of understanding from which we all can benefit. While in college, she was an avid participant in many of the University’s international programs in which she enjoyed assisting national students with language barriers and exchanging cultural viewpoints.

In 2010, she studied abroad at Justus Liebig Universität in Giessen, Germany. While there, she was introduced to many different challenges faced by immigrants such as learning a new language and making small adjustments one step at a time.

Pepper graduated summa cum laude from Georgia State University’s College of Law in May 2016. At Georgia State, she participated in an asylum and refugee program which provided legal assistance to asylum seekers here in Atlanta. She is passionate about assisting others through the complex world of immigration.
